This Thursday, Muse performed a concert in Koln, Germany, the first gig preceding the release of their upcoming sixth LP "The 2nd Law".
Considering that the record is only a week away, the band took the opportunity to include a handful of new tracks in the setlist. Watch fan-shot videos of all five debuted songs below, as well as the single Madness:Supremacy:

Muse’s "The 2nd Law" is set for a September 28th release, and can be ordered here. A stream of the album will likely be available within a few days. Thanks to Antiquiet for the report.
I can already tell these songs are loads better than the stuff we've heard already from the new album, definitely going to give it a go. Some cool Muse-y riffage and big choruses.
Sounding pretty cool! Only problems I have is that a vocal melody in Animal is exactly the same as Screenagers chorus and that I kind of wanted Chris' song to be better haha. Can't wait to hear it all properly anyway
Just saying my thoughts. every band has haters. And I dont really give a sh!t what you randon american think about me! "And I'm not even kidding" you should just calm down mulkku
I want to hear Animals entirely, it may be good. As for the other songs I only cared about Supremacy and Save Me. All the others are mediocre at best, and even the ones I enjoyed are way too far from Muse's best.
I thought that same thing when The Resistance came out but to me these are some of the best songs they've done since Absolution. Animals could fit right into the Origin of Symmetry/Hullabaloo era. Hell Supremacy is like a crossbreed between that Citizen Erased riff from 2004 and the falsetto screams from Shrinking Universe, I could say it's one of the best songs they've ever released.
Don't really like Chris' voice, but as others have said, this isn't the best way of listening to the songs for the first time. I'm going to see them in October at the LG, that'll be the best way of determining how good the new album is.
Ok first off the first single doesn't mean it's the best. I'd even say Madness is one of the worst on the album and Muse haven't released their best songs as singles in years.
Second, I've seen people who were completely and utterly cynical and pessimistic about the new album suddenly turn optimistic after the new songs so no this is not just the fanboys. That sounds like pretty high levels of projection there.
Third, chart placement doesn't mean shit to the quality of the songs. They're one of the most popular bands in the world anyways.
Muse is great. I've been with 'em since 2000. I was 7. 7! Now I'm 20 (13 years later, if you're mathematically impaired) and they're still good in my eyes. Fanboy? Nah, I just like good music .
museicianX couldn't be more wrong. Muse wrote this album for themselves said in various interviews online from Matt Dom and Chris. The fact that MuseicianX back talks the band that he made his user name after makes me laugh at what kind of a person he is or she. MuseicianX please take your attitude somewhere else, and let others who still enjoy Muse stay.
The album just leaked, gotta say it's surprisingly the best album they've released since Black Holes. Just has an awesome vibe to it, the mixing on Survival sounds way better on this than the crap Olympics mix, and the other tracks stand out individually compared to what they released before. 4.5/5, definately gonna buy it now!
I think it's the best album since Absolution! I find it funny how people take their new songs now and desperately try to find links with other songs. Lots of songs sound the same! And the fact someone said they ripped off Queen with the title 'Save Me'. Other than the fact that the songs sounds nothing like the Queen song, there's thousands of songs with the same title! How about Rihanna's 'Take A Bow' She must have ripped off Muse! Some people are so close minded, going to listen to them just so they can find something their songs are similar too. Christ grow up.
People don't like vague similarities to Queen but were fine with Matt outright using already existing classical pieces to write songs since the Absolution era...
