The video's pretty funny and cool. I do think the band should have appeared, but whateves. The song though, the chord progression sounds just like all the new country songs, which makes me really not like it.
It's a pretty good tune.
I love old Nickelback (Silver side up, The State) so this is a refreshing pop version of them that isn't a complete drinking tune.
I think it's pretty funny. They can put out whatever they want and people will listen to it/watch it. They're not that bad of a band. Yeah, they're a formula band, but hey, it works.
The video was actually entertaining, can't say the same about the music though; "did I hear this before?". Glad to see Jason Alexander once again. He and Michael Richards are apparently the only guys still under the "Seinfeld curse".
Kramer, along with the Soup Nazi, Newman and George, is one of my favorite characters. I mean, just Michael Richards' expressions and body language when playing Kramer were more than enough to make any mortal man laugh!
everyone needs to stop bashing nickelback. They are generic yes but chad has a great voice and the music is alright too. They've done more than 99% of you on here so shut the **** up already.
Don't forget that you have SOAD in your nick. Even though their music is pretty repetitive, they do have some good songs and you can't deny that most of them are catchy. Yeah, there are better bands out there, but hell, they're by far not the worst.
I like some of Nickelback... Its songs like these that I don't like though. My honest opinion though, but I respect how they can make lighter than occasionally heavier music.
As for them not being in the video, it didn't bother me at all. I don't really understand the whole "Oh yeah lets make a video of us playing our instruments and singing in sync to a recording of the song!" thing. Reminded me a little of Limp Bizkitz "Take a Look Around" except they didn't have band members in their video.
Everyone bashes them for their music sound exactly the same, but isn't it better for a band to have a consistent sound then be all over the place with their music?
It's sort of like when Metallica did "Lulu." It was completely different and everyone hated it. And similarity always worked for AC/DC and Boston. No one seemed bothered by it.
I imagine the people on UG who, hunched over their computers try to think of a way to insult Nickelback and tell the world (who doesn't give a ****) that they hate Nickelback with their hearts and souls. And then I see Nickelback, working hard on trying to get a new album ready. I see Nickelback laughing off the criticism, and I see UG users getting more and more angry at how they "own" those losers who want to criticize just to be cool. I wonder who sounds like the more intelligent of the two parties....
Come on! Bring on the down-votes! I'm on here for a popularity contest.
And now.... COMMENCE THE NICKEL-BASHING!
