Not bad but you can actually hear the absence of the Farro brothers. The verse riff is pretty cool, the chorus a bit lacking, the lyrics..well,no surprises there.
I think that they proved that they DO need the Farros. All the little details that made them special are gone. That kind of thing only comes from two guitarists that have special chemistry. You can't just replace that kind of thing with a bunch of fuzz and a vocal hook and expect it to be the same.
This song is crap.
did u read what i said?? 3 singles was brought out a few months after they left and 2 of those songs were some of the best songs paramore have written in a while, and yeah, i said this song is absolute shit
Yeah, I agree you def. hear the absence of the Farro brothers. Idk how to take this song. To me, it sounds like a song from the 90's or something. Also, I feel like the song is "too" poppy, even though it's decent. Maybe I feel this way because the last album was darker.
I'm actually surprised in a good way, admittedly it requires a good bit of work lyrically, but it does a good job of changing the formula, It's a sound we've never heard from the now-trio. You can tell they've matured from their last album musically, which is way more then I expected after watching 2/3 of the talent in that band just walk away
i feel as though this is only a demo version and hope im right. the song its self at this point isnt bad but i wouldnt release this to an album. there to me is so much that could be improved.
I'll give them the credit that this is different from most of the shit they've done before. At least to me it's interesting, but I expected something a bit more powerful. Hopefully this will be the weaker track out of a dozen better ones.
If you're a Paramore fan anyway just give it some time and a couple of listens and it'll grow on you. I've listened to it , given it a few hours then come back and it's not so bad. Still not keen on the verse verging on No Doubt territory. Perhaps my initial reaction was over the top to say it was garbage, although it is totally different from the norm. Maybe I just want to like it.
All of you who are complaining that it doesn't sound like it did when the Farro brothers were in Paramore, that's because the Farro brothers are no longer in Paramore. Taylor, Jeremy, and Hayley are all taking a new direction, and it's one that I am LOVING!
I barely liked BNE as it was, especially Brick By Boring Brick. I was hoping they were going to head in the direction of Decode, but it turns out they've followed Kings of Leon.
its alright, I like it now than I did on my first listen. But singles are never that great, I find the people of UG do the same thing most of the time and don't like the single but love the album
