Phil Anselmo: Clips Of Two New Solo Songs Online

Pantera and Down legend Phil Anselmo has posted two new solo tracks online!

Both "Conflict" and "Family, Friends" will appear on Phil's upcoming split EP with Texan thrashers Warbeast, called "War Of The Gargantuas".

"This split is a glimpse into the future of both my solo project and ultimate thrash metallers Warbeast," says our Phil.

"The title of the split is 'War Of The Gargantuas' and it is fitting on many levels because of our combined love for the '60s Japanese film of the same name, the power of our combined musical output(s) and our humorous affection that plays out within each of our 'Gargantuan' personalities.

"Both Warbeast and myself have full-length LPs that will be released shortly after this is released, but this split is unique musically. It is a time capsule; a loud pause 'til we both release our full-length products. Enjoy the destruction of music!"

Sort of sounds like a lot of other death metal bands. Kinda disappointed, I like Down better. But, Phil can do what he wants.

Dam I wasnt sure if Phil had that pantera sound still in him. Reminds me of some shit off the Trendkill/Steel era though it has that superjoint feel as well. Pretty excited.

Phil will always be one of my favorite metal singers of all time. I don't even care for music this heavy anymore but i'm intrigued.
