Protest The Hero have announced the August 5 release of a new, exclusive three-track EP that will available worldwide only on iTunes. The Sequoia Throne Remix EP will include three remixes of the band's current single created by three very different artists.
C0ndu1t, the cerebral industrial band from Canada, created the brutally intense first remix. It can be now streamed exclusively at the band's official UG Profile.
Also, the winner of a Metal Hammer magazine contest - known only as
L-Ion - created the electro-heavy second remix, and the otherworldly atmospherics and textures of the third were created by
Devin Townsend, record producer (GWAR, Darkest Hour, Misery Signals) and original member of influential heavy music pioneers Strapping Young Lad.
“We were excited to hear what these remixers would do with the track,” said singer Rody Walker. “We’re not afraid of a little experimentation and now we can say that we have a club anthem!”
Track listing:
01. Sequoia Throne - C0ndu1t Chupacabra Remix
02. Sequoia Throne - L-Ion Remix
03. Sequoia Throne - Devin Townsend Remix
