Rob Zombie has unveiled his newly directed advert for American washing detergent Woolite.
The famed horror movie director and White Zombie member has crafted a gruesome, horror inspired advert for the washing brand entitled "The Torturer". The video can be viewed below.
The clothing in the advert is treated like a horror movie victim throughout the 30 second clip, subjected to stretching, shrinking and fading, with the final warning: "Don't let detergent torture your clothes!".
A Facebook campaign associated with the new advert has been started up at Facebook.com/wooliteus.
The "House Of 1000 Corpses" and "Halloween" remake director previously revealed that doing the advert was a little different from his usual cinematic enterprises:
"It was sort of strange, but I love doing stuff like that."
Rob hasn't turned his back on the rock world. We reported in April that Zombie confirmed Marylin Manson drummer Kenneth Robert Wilson a.k.a. Ginger Fish would be joining his band, replacing Joey Jordison who had to leave due to scheduling conflicts with Slipknot.
What possible turn does a marketing meeting have to take in order for it to end with the phrase, "Someone get Rob Zombie on the phone. We need him to direct our Woolite commercial."
