System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian has posted a bizarre YouTube update, which features around 20 seconds of a new song.
Tankian himself linked to the clip, posting the video on his official Twitter page Twitter.com/officialserj, along with a message that reads: "New music? Nahhhhh...Okay, maybe." You can watch the video at the bottom of the page by scrolling down and clicking.
The singer has been touring Europe with System Of A Down, including a headline slot at Download Festival, but the band have not been playing any new material during their live set, nor have they indicated that they play to record any once the tour is over.
Tankian released his second solo album "Imperfect Harmonies" in 2010, and was thought to be working on the follow-up before System Of A Down announced their summer tour.
The band previously said when their tour was announced that they had "no master plan of sorts - we are playing these shows simply because we want to play together again as a band and for you, our amazing fans".
