SIXX AM: 'Pray For Me' Video Online

"Pray For Me", the new video from Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx's Sixx: A.M. side project, can be viewed at this loaction.

Sixx: A.M. — which also features James Michael and DJ Ashba (ex-Beautiful Creatures) — made its live debut in July 2007 following a press conference to promote Sixx's new book and accompanying soundtrack, "The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star". Highlights from the press conference can be seen at this location.

Released last September via MTV/VH1 Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, "The Heroin Diaries" offers an unflinching and utterly gripping look at Sixx's descent into drug addiction with a soundtrack, featuring James Michael and DJ Ashba, to match. The book is a tell-all, drawn from Nikki's 1986 and '87 journals.

Sixx found the diaries in storage and spent years compiling them for the book. He said he sees them more as a commentary on the record business than as a portrait of a lurid rock 'n' roll lifestyle.

The album was released by Eleven/Seven Music and distributed by ADA, with a portion of proceeds donated to Nikki's Running Wild in the Night, a fundraising initiative for Covenant House.

Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

I had a look at the book, and its really just an emo bible. It's all stuff like 'everyone look how much i can party hard' or 'everyone look at how sad i am, feel for me'. It's quite pathetic.

Should stick with the Crüe, was all good music then.

how can you say niki sixx is emo...

farfaraway :
I didn't say he was emo, just the book, everything from the subject matter to the presentation is cliché emo crap.

He might as well be, releasing such a self-indulgent whine.

Well, let's face it. If it's a diary, it's hardly going to be all happiness, sunflowers and rabbits riding merry-go-rounds, is it - specially when the title of its' 'the heroin diaries'. I have to admit, at first glance, the concept of the band, album AND book on the same issue did sound off a few warning lights in my head, namely 'Money-catching', 'dour' and some other mean words. TBH, it's been done well enough to avoid that (Well, the band and album at least - Can't comment on the book), so I'm game for a few more listens, at least
Oh, on subject - Good vid, and a good song - I remember thinking 'THis is gonna turn at any minute' and it does... Just not in the manner you'd expect lol.

The book is far from an emo Bible. In fact, if that's really all you took from it, then you have obviously missed the point of the book. It's not a pity party. It's a book about addiction and that there is help / hope and what have you. I reccomend it to anyone struggling with addiction of any kind. Next time get your facts straight before you toss around the word pathetic Because that was obviously a pathetic attempt to trash a good book.

The video got removed, and farfaraway, this isn't emo, its called a guide to save yourself from dangers like heroin and cocaine. Nikki is describing the experiance and it says mostly a lot of bad things happened. I mean how worse can you get when you overdose and die,TWICE. He was real lucky to be brought back alive both those times

If you don't like Motley Crue, or Nikki Sixx, why are you here? Don't bother comment, just leave.

On topic, I like some of Sixx AM's stuff, but I prefer the Crue. I intend to get the book.

How can he be an emo when he's compiled a book of diary entries from 20 years ago when he was in the midst of a heroin addiction? Emo's are usually upset over utter b*llocks, like their friends being bitchy and what not. A heroin addiction constitues an actual problem.

Wrong. It wasn't a book, it was a diary.

Wrong. It wasn't a book, it was a diary.

A diary presented in the format of a book.

Nikki always goes around like 'oh look i got better you shouldnt do drugs blah blah blah theyre bad.' when, its true, all he does with these books is brag about how much drugs he did more than anyone else

After having read not only The Heroin Diaries but also The Dirt, I think it's safe to say Nikki Sixx is not bragging. I find it hard to believe all of you think he and his book are "emo", even if you are ignorant. His book is a diary of his life of sex, drugs, and rock and roll, and all that comes with it. So for all of you who think he's pathetic, get a life. Yes, this book is a bible. It's a bible of the stereotypical lifestyles that rockstars conform to. Women, addiction... viewing his life as pathetic is like viewing MLK's life as mediocre. It just doesn't fit.
