Them Crooked Vultures Stream Entire Album

In response to the leak of Them Crooked Vultures' album, the band has made the unprecedented decision to stream the record in its entirety beginning with first track "No One Loves Me & Neither Do I" (listen to it here).

Them Crooked Vultures' self-titled debut album is due out November 17 in the United States and Canada on DGC/Interscope Records and can be pre-ordered here.

Its release has been preceded by first single "New Fang" currently streaming on MySpace and "Mind Eraser, No Chaser" now available as a free iTunes download.

Them Crooked Vultures recently announced its first ever shows in California and the Pacific Northwest: November 17 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, November 19 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, November 21 at the Paramount Theater in Seattle, and November 22 at the Roseland Theater in Portland.

The dates expand an itinerary that already includes a December tour of the UK and Europe and January dates in Australia and New Zealand.

I disagree. There's nothing wrong with listening to an album for free. If it's good enough then go out and buy it. To me, it's the same as buying a car without driving it. I'm not ashamed to admit I download music, but I go out and buy what I like, it's pointless paying for something I'm not going to listen to again.

I'm the same. I downloaded a fair few System Of A Down tracks illegally, and now I own their entire discography (bought CDs). A lot of the time, big illegal downloaders are the ones who spend most money on music. That was the findigns of some recent research anyway.

I'll admit it too, I used to download a lot of music, but now all the money I don't spend on tuition, food or rent pretty much goes to buying CDs. There's just something nice about having a huge CD tower in your room.

Also, I've already listened to TCV's album all the way through via youtube. I'll DEFINITELY be buying this one!

It leaked after the band got in first and posted the album online. All the early leaks were just ripped straight from the YouTube videos.

Sorry, but here in Argentina, new albums like this take a while to be available in stores, so for the moment I'll hear it for free, and when I get the chance maybe I'll buy it (here albums are also quite expensive).

Anyway, this move tells me that TCV isn't here for the money (or at least they make us believe so), so kudos to them.

... I really liked Oysterhead. Not a huge Trey fan, but Les Claypool is awesome, and Stewart Copeland is an amazing drummer, with a lot of neat, nonstandard tricks up his sleeve.

I think the only way to use the term 'unprecendented' correctly would have required making these guys sound arrogant. The sentence would read:

"It is unprecedented for a supergroup to release the entire album for free, instead of waiting for people to buy it and be dissapointed."

Buying an album only shows that you support greedy record labels seeing as the band seems a minute portion of the money made from album sales.

TCV is not what I expected at all. They are still amazing, nonetheless.
