Trent Reznor's score for the official "Call Of Duty: Black Ops II" theme has been revealed. You can hear it in the player below.
The brooding epic is the official theme for the game, with the rest of the soundtrack being scored by composer Jack Wall.
It features Reznor's trademark build-up, growling synths, wailing guitars and solid drums. But does it stand up next to his regular work? Let us know what you think in the comments.
Meanwhile, Reznor has been preparing the release of the "An Omen" EP by his side-project How To Destroy Angels. It will be available for purchase from tomorrow, with an album to follow early next year.
After that, Reznor will start thinking about a return to Nine Inch Nails. "Having a few years doing other things, I've enjoyed [them] and I'm enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels," he said last week, "and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It's a different kind of work. Stay tuned."

Agreed. I was one of those people who despised COD but when the scriptwriter is the same guy who co-wrote the Dark Knight trilogy then... wow. And now Trent Reznor's contributed too, so double wow.
There's a I Hate CoD bandwagon? wel... I don't hate it, but i'm not buying it.
I am hating on the Zombies though. What a shitty zombie game. My friends don't get it-- It's a good survival game, but a good zombie game is Resident Evil 4, not this run/gun/repair shit.
You are most certainly welcome my fellow commenter. In the heat of the moment, I felt that my comment would capture the very essence of what the above article was attempting to display. I find that even the most exemplary of co_____ Wait a minute... I got a medal for that bullshit?????!?!?! Really Society??? REALLY?!?!?!?!?!?
I never doubted Reznor's ability to create an amazing song with this, but this blew my freaking mind. Can't wait until the EP drops tomorrow, and for more NIN down the road.
Doesn't anybody else think that this theme is quite boring and derivative? Not bad, but certainly not anything that I haven't heard billions of times in soundtracks before..
