Trivium: Brand New Song Stream

Trivium have offered a stream of a brand new song, "Dusk Dismantled" from their forthcoming album "In Waves" (via RiO!B), which you can hear below.

Produced by Colin Richardson (the Brit responsible for a huge range of popular metal albums), the song is an onslaught of grinding vocals and ninja-speed guitar solos.

The stream follows the release of an official video of the album’s title track, also embedded below. The album will be available as a deluxe special edition box set for $50, and will include all of the following:

i like both of the songs and i'm a huge trivium fan, but im not sure if like how much more catchy the songs have gotten. not that it's a bad thing per se, but i'm afraid the songs will wear off pretty fast, if that makes any sense.

I've been a Trivium fan for a looooong time. But this... this isn't Trivium. Not at all. Definitely not buying their new album if all the songs are like these two.

Never been a huge Trivium fan but this new stuff is pretty damn good. Good to see this group grow in, from my point of view, better direction.

I love Trivium and I am definitely getting the deluxe version of the album. I wasn't impressed with "In Waves" but "Dusk Dismantled" was a step in the right direction. There is also some excellent guitar work on that song if you stop to listen for it.

It sounds a lot more like Ascendancy but they're using aspects of The Crusade and Shogun. To be honest, I'm not gonna say these songs are great. They're cool instrumentally but lyrics for in waves are mediocre at best but they're a little better on dusk dismantled. I'm looking forward to the release but a little skeptical even though I have all their studio albums

I'm a huge fan but In Waves doesn't seem like a worthy title track and Dusk Dismantled just didn't do anything for me whatsoever. Not sure if I'll be buying this one

Dusk Dismantled is much better than In Waves... but still, the lyrics are ****ing embarrassing. I mean come on, he could at least try. What happened to the amazing lyrical work from Shogun (and guitar work, for that matter).

Also, these two songs make me feel like they're utilizing Nick well at all. Hopefully there are more songs that are actually good, like Shattering was.

the band is in Drop D and 6 strings on this album, which is exactly where i love them to be. Personally, i've loved everything they've released, but i'm really looking forward to the new album, it seems like their taking yet another leap in the right direction with their stylistic approach. their new drummer gives them a really fresh sound.
while i do notice the moments that other fans might dislike in these songs, but what band is gonna sound the same after a new member as dynamic as a drummer? the main reason i'm really looking forward to this album is because it might show how far they've come and matured as musicians, and it seems like they are taking a step in the right direction as a whole.

atleast they didnt do to us what linkin park did. trivium stayed rly similar to their previous style. unlike linkin park. :'( i dont mind change. but when you abandon your whole fanbase its just unacceptable

Been a Trivium fan for a long time now. Must say I was not too impressed with "in Waves" (although it is catchy, and it did get stuck in my head for a bout a week!), but I did enjoy this new one (Dusk Dismantled). Dusk Dismantled definitely had that "trivium-esque" vibe, although in a much heavier way. If the album is a mix between the two released so far, I think it will be a good album, but perhaps not as good as "Shogun". So far, though, it seems that this album is a natural progression (though I would argue that they should have stuck with the "shogun" formula/style for at least one more album).
