Newly released multi-camera fan-filmed video footage of Van Halen's entire March 30 concert at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania can be seen below.
Michael Papaleonardos, who compiled and edited the footage, says, "[The clip] features additional camera work and some new edits (and I corrected some mistakes, etc.)
"The video quality is much better and it still sounds great too compared to what I released earlier. The concert is a single file and captures the entire show, now rendered in 1080p.
"I am of course biased, but i think this is the best fan shot video of the 2012 tour, if not ever, for a Van Halen concert."
The band's setlist was as follows:
01. Unchained 02. Runnin' With The Devil 03. She's The Woman 04. Romeo Delight 05. Tattoo 06. Everybody Wants Some!! 07. Somebody Get Me A Doctor 08. China Town 09. Jamie's Cryin' 10. Oh, Pretty Woman (Roy Orbison cover) 11. Drum Solo 12. You Really Got Me (The Kinks cover) 13. Blood and Fire 14. Dance The Night Away 15. I'll Wait 16. Hot For Teacher 17. Women In Love 18. Saw em at MSG on the first night. Halfway through the show Dave stopped using the on head mic in favor of the handheld one. He continued with the hand held one the rest of the tour. It was a beautiful moment.
They sounded awesome on this tour, especially the heavy new songs.
Really, really awesome video. For some reason the hand held microphone brings out the best qualities in Dave. Now granted Dave isn't sounding 100% on this tour, but the fans have to remember Van Halen worked 1 1/2 years straight on the new album, and then immediately jumped into a massive US Tour that played 50 shows in 60 days. Dave's voice is really just strained. But his voice doesn't bother me that much, because David Lee Roth is just AWESOME!
