Paramore have debuted a new track "Renegade", which is likely to be the band's next single, during a recent live show in New York, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch them perform the track.
The band, who have been using the track as their intro music for their recent live performances, played the song in full during a show at New York's Terminal 5 venue last night (September 7), which had been put on to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their record label Fueled By Ramen.
Introducing the song, singer Hayley Williams said:
"We are about to play a song we've never ever played before. We'll be putting this song online for you guys to have as soon as we can, as soon as possible, we're working on it. It's called 'Renegade'."
Williams has previously indicated that the band plan to release "Renegade" soon, writing on the band's official website:
"Back in March, we recorded a handful of songs (including 'Monster') with Rob Cavallo which we promised we'd get to you this year. 'Renegade' is the first song of the three that are left to be released."
The band released a single "Monster" earlier this summer as part of the soundtrack to the summer blockbuster Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.
I'm hopeful for the music they're playing, it sounds at least in a similar vein to the old stuff, I like :P
But it must be said, her voice wasn't on form there. Noticeably flat/sharp in places...
99% of their songs were written by Hayley and Josh together. Hayley is a very talented song writer, and from the looks of things (with this song and Monster), so are Taylor and Jeremy. I'm very excited for the new album! Paramore is STILL the greatest band in the world and nothing will ever change that (=
Sounds promising, looking forward to the new album. Not sure I like the way the replacement guitarist and drummer are trying to look like Josh and Zac though...
Sounds a bit average, Monster was better. The verdict is still out for me on whether they have what it takes to still be good without the Farro brothers.
Given that it was a new song, I was actually pretty satisfied with it. Definitely had that tinge of "All We Know Is Falling" in it. Not to discredit the other two albums, but yeah I thought it was a pretty sweet song. Let's just see how the other tracks will be.
LOVE this. It's bringing back the Riot! sound Brand New Eyes was a good album, don't get me wrong, but that album also made them conform more to the pop music culture and away from the pop punk/alternative style that they had. Glad to see they're recovering with more great music
