Wolfmother Return With New Track

The all-new Wolfmother line-up are readying their return today (March 30) with a brand new track.

Although the band effectively split last year, singer and guitarist Andrew Stockdale vowed to continue under the Wolfmother name with a new line-up.

The first fruits of the decision are now available, in the form of new track "Back Round", which is available from today on Wolfmother.com.

Although the track is available as a free download from the site, the band are encouraging fans to donate to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal at redcross.org.au.

The new look band debuted the track last Friday (March 27) at the MTV Australia Music Awards in Sydney.

They have now returned to LA to complete their album with producer Alan Moulder.

Mike Patton's comment on this band is the reason I don't like Mike Patton or Mike Patton related projects any more. If you don't like it, fine. Don't be an elitist douche.

Personally, think Wolfmother aren't the greatest band to ever grace the earth, but they're pretty cool for what they do and I'm excited to see Andrew Stockdale is continuing. He's the driving force of the band anyway. I listened to their cd for about three weeks after I bought it. I threw it in this weekend and cranked it up and was reminded of how cool they are.

Very White Stripes as someone before said, reminds me a bit of conquest...

For Wolfmother its a bit average compared to their old album but they definitely haven't changed with the new line up

Despite this, I still have no idea who the new members of Wolfmother are, and even though they put up photos of their latest gig at Sound Relief, they were all of Andrew.

I don't know why he doesn't just rename the group Andrew Stockdale. If he's going to go on using the Wolfmother name he should be treating the other members as a little more than just hired hands.

i wouldn't say this song sounded that much zeppelin, its a lot heavier and a lot less bluesy. the only thing that really sounds like zeppelin about it was his voice, and like other people said, it does sound similar to the white stripes.

these guys are fun to listen to even if they aren't that original, im lookin forward to this.
