Adair, who was recently named by Alternative Press Magazine as one of the "100 Bands to Watch" for 2006, has announced the release of the video for their first single "The Diamond Ring."
Directed by Nick Lambrou (The Deftones, Goldfinger and Story of The Year), the video is already being hailed as one of the most innovative videos of the year with its use of stop motion animation and vintage VHS cameras. Vocalist Rob Tweedie was instrumental in helping with the making of the video, helping to build the models and in the initial planning stages and says that he is particularly proud of its unique visual style.
"
I think what sets this video apart from the rest of the videos you see out there is that it has such a unique visual style. Besides the obvious fact that it's stop motion animation, it was shot not only with film, but also with a few different vintage VHS cameras that were somewhat broken, giving each of them their own, one- of- a- kind effect that can't be faked with digital video," said
Rob Tweedie, vocalist.
"Everyone these days does the whole 'old- grainy- film- look'; why not evolve into old, grainy VHS?"
The video has already been added into rotation on Fuse's "Steven's Untitled Rock Show" and was even the featured download of the week on the web site, which is excellent timing as the band prepares to hit the road this summer for the Warped Tour.

Kicking off in Columbia, MD on June 16th, Adair will perform on the two-month tour to continue the support of their debut album "The Destruction Of Everything Is The Beginning Of Something New" (February 21st Warcon Records).
