Poland’s most blasphemous and entertaining export, Behemoth, have completed their year-long worldwide campaign in support of The Apostasy, which is the group’s most successful offering yet. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Behemoth emerged from 2007 as the definitive band within the extreme metal genre.
The group became
Ozzfest’s most talked about act and followed that up with the massive Radio Rebellion Tour, co-headlining alongside
Job For A Cowboy that further solidified their status as one of the genre’s most explosive, premiere live acts. The most recent trek as part of “
The Invaluable Darkness Tour Part 2” as direct support to
Dimmu Borgir marked the band’s third and final stateside run for this album cycle.
Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski recently conducted a very candid podcast interview with MTV’s Headbangers Ball Blog and during the interview they talked about the recent tour with Dimmu Borgir, the new studio EP and live album, the possibility of a live DVD, keeping partying under control and the trouble Nergal caused onstage in Poland by tearing up a Bible. Nergal (vocals, guitars) states: “We just completed our third and final run in North America for this record. We toured like hell after Demigod and we’ve also been touring like crazy to support The Apostasy, but it feels like it’s time to slow down and live our lives a little bit. So it’s about time we stay home for awhile, get inspired and write another monstrous record.”
Never one known to rest on their laurels, the Polish killing machine Behemoth raises the bar once again with their bombastic new video “At The Left Hand Ov God,” which provides them the perfect visual forum to convey their over-the-top ideals. This is pure blasphemy at its finest and it is just another step closer to solidifying their spot as the genre’s most dangerous and unrelenting force. The clip was produced by acclaimed Polish director Dariusz Szermanowicz and Group 13. The eye-popping video can be streamed now at the link here.
