As the oversaturated deathcore scene becomes even more diluted with each passing day a new group of likeminded individuals are taking things in a new direction by pushing the boundaries of precision, speed and technicality to inhuman levels. This group is better known as the San Diego based quintet, Burning The Masses, whose stunning debut offering, Mind Control, is set for an Octover 28th release through Mediaskare Records. The album was recorded in Seattle, WA with producer Stephan Hawkes (Inked In Blood) and mixed in Los Angeles, CA with Logan Mader (Gojira, Psycroptic, Cavalera Conspiracy). This album blends the best elements of Between The Buried And Me, Cannibal Corpse and Necrophagist, so head over now to the group's Myspace page to check out the scathing new track.
Burning The Masses further states: “
This band started just to give us an outlet to jam out, have fun and to inspire the next generation of kids to play heavy music. We slowly started realizing we had something special as we grew more into the music itself. Our style could be vest described as really fast, technical death metal/metal with mildly progressive groove beats. We tend to try to throw the listeners ear off when they listen to our songs and try to make it unpredictable. It's just fun for us. We also feel that our music has a lot to offer and we want to reach out to more than just one group of fans. We want our music to appeal to all crowds.”
Having toured the U.S. multiple times already, playing with the likes of As Blood Runs Black, Suicide Silence, Beneath The Massacre, The Faceless and more, the band has built a solid fan base across the country that it will be connecting with again throughout 2008 with tours already lined up in Oct/Nov with Born of Osiris (Sumerian).
Burning The Masses is paving a new path for extreme metal and upon hearing the album’s opening track, nobody could dispute that the future of the genre is looking very bright.
