Cryptopsy Announces Canadian Assault

While the band is debuting its new lineup as part of the stateside Summer Slaughter bill, Cryptopsy have yet to give their home country a proper set of shows. Fortunately for their Canadian fans, the group will band together to hit eight provinces with special guests Origin and Last Felony. The tour, dubbed "The Resurgence Of An Empire" and presented by Unrestrained! Magazine, Sick Drummer and Hails N’ Horns, will carry the three bands through most of September. Flo Mounier (drums) also recently spoke with MTV News’ Metal File dismissing the claims of selling out, surprise fans reactions following the record’s release and talks of a headlining North American fall tour. Click on the link to check it out.

The Unspoken King, Cryptopsy’s sixth full-length and first to feature new vocalist Matt McGachy, was released June 24th to a wide array of reactions. Drummer Flo Mounier recently explained his intention in reshaping the dynamics of the band to Decibel magazine: "I’m a fan of different sorts of music, and I think it’s most fun when a band puts out an album that has elements of everything; you get this thing called diversity, not boredom. That’s what we’re trying to do. Still, I think people are going to be surprised how brutal this album is."
