Diecast Kick Off Sevendust Tour

artist: diecast date: 02/12/2007 category: press releases
rating: 0 / votes: 0

Diecast kicked off a monstrous 10-week U.S. tour as direct support to Sevendust, which also marks the longest tour of the group’s storied career. Fans can expect a blistering 45-minute set with a diverse setlist featuring a slew of new material that has yet to be performed live.

This is the group’s second U.S. trek in support of their new album, Internal Revolution, which is being hailed as their most dynamic and stunning offering yet from critics and fans alike. Their new single for “Nothing I Could Say” will be serviced to Active Rock later this month, and the radio mix and edit was done by Brian Malouf (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Pearl Jam). A stunning new video for the track was just complete by acclaimed director Ian McFarland (Sick Of It All). The Sevendust tour itinerary is below; more dates will be announced soon.

Paul Stoddard (vocals) checks in with the following report: “I’m very excited to be sharing the stage with Sevendust, a band that I’ve been an enormous fan of for a long time. If you’ve ever seen them live, you know exactly what I mean. If you ever wanted to see them or us now is the time. We are playing some amazing-sounding clubs and tickets are selling fast. Some are already sold out! No one is going to leave this tour disappointed, so come on out and party with us.

We also just finished filming a new video for 'Nothing I Could Say.’ It’s a concept video that takes place in the early 1930s with a good story, hi-def quality and some great actors. It’s definitely going to be different than anything else in our style, which is something that we always strive for. Look for it online and on MTV2 next month. Thanks again to everyone who has been buying our CD, coming to see us and requesting us on your local radio stations. Things are really starting to happen for us, and it’s all because of you guys. We can’t wait to see you all soon.

A riveting conceptual video for the first single from Internal Revolution, “Fade Away,” shot by acclaimed director David Brodsky (Strapping Young Lad, GWAR, The Red Chord), can now be viewed at this link.

Internal Revolution, praised by Decibel magazine as “perhaps the best music of the band’s career,” had a phenomenal first week at retail, entering the Billboard Heatseekers chart at #7 in the Northeast region. With a new lineup intact, the group were able to expand upon their influences with no preconceived boundaries, and the results were unlike anything they ever expected.

Thats suck a sick tour! OMG I cant express how psyched i woud be if i could go to that. But part of living in philly is never having a single ****ing decent tour. Even if we are one of the biggest cities on the East Coast. Why play big cities when you have these 2000 person population towns?
