Emanuel have announced a number of goodies and surprises for their fans. Not only will the band hit the road for a four-week tour with The Receiving End Of Sirens in August, but Emanuel will also headline a handful of record release shows in September and are currently recording an acoustic EP! All Emanuel tour dates are listed below.
As
Emanuel count down the days until their sophomore release, Black Earth Tiger, hits stores, the band is recording acoustic versions of four songs from the album, “
Cottonmouth,” “
My Antapex,” “
Scenotaph” and “
Whiteflag (reprise),” for a limited edition EP that will be an added bonus for fans that preorder the album from
interpunk.com. The EP, which will not be sold in stores, will also be available to fans who preorder or purchase
Black Earth Tiger from select independent record stores across the country, including Ear X-tacy in the band’s hometown of Louisville, KY.
On Black Earth Tiger, Emanuel enlisted Terry Date (Smashing Pumpkins, Pantera) to help the group summon the sounds of their hard-rock heroesand create an album that is simultaneously heavy and catchy, filled with tales of catastrophe and ruination. The quartet's sophomore album left Alternative Press to claim "[BET has] a road-tested toughness that adds legitimate ferocity to dark, bottom-heavy rippers like "Cottonmouth" and the monstrous, scathing "Scenotaph."” The magazine's web counterpart, AltPress.com, is currently streaming a new track, "Phobos," which can be heard here: http://www.altpress.com/media
After spending the better half of a year working on Black Earth Tiger, vocalist Matt Breen admits "I've been anticipating this tour for a couple of months now, really. We can't wait for everyone to get a chance to check out our new songs and to hear the new album. This is our fourth tour since May, so if you haven't seen us yet, this is the one to come out and represent."
Emanuel have been on the road since May building excitement for Black Earth Tiger, sharing stages with Madina Lake, Funeral For A Friend and most recently Boys Night Out. Following this tour, Emanuel will cruise over seas and support Fightstar on a three-week tour around the U.K. The band is expected to be back and touring the U.S. in November, so get your Emanuel fix while the getting's good.
