Diamond Dog Records are proud to announce they will be issuing the first ever live DVD from acclaimed Australian recording act Geisha on December 1st, 2008.
"Geisha: Unplugged Live @ New Capers" was recorded at the band's sold-out unplugged performance at the intimate surrounds of New Capers, one of Melbourne's most prestigious live venues, on August, 9, 2008.
This is the third release in Diamond Dog Records' newly acquired
Geisha catalog, and comes in the wake of the label's recent re-issue on October 1st, 2007 of the band's critically acclaimed 1985 debut album, "
Geisha". And the November 1st re-issue of "
Midnight To Dawn".
The new DVD release is a precursor to the bands highly anticipated brand new single, "Birthday", which was produced by legendary US producer Tom Werman (Motley Crue, Cheap Trick) which hits radio play lists in January. "Birthday" will be the first single off the upcoming, as yet untitled, new Geisha album due in 2009.
