Guitar Center is pleased to announce the next installment of Guitar Center Sessions: An Evening of Dialogue and Music with guitar legend George Thorogood. Scheduled for Monday, July 27th at the Guitar Center in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd, the evening will focus on George’s historic role in the evolution of blues guitar, the secrets behind his instantly recognizable finger-picking and slide technique as well as his distinguished career. Presented in conjuncture with Gibson Guitars and Capitol Records, the event is free and open to the public.

The Destroyers released their self-titled debut album in 1977 and quickly established themselves as radio favorites and as a touring machine. The group has had hits with Thorogood’s original compositions like “
Bad To The Bone,” “
You Talk Too Much,” “
I Drink Alone” and “
Get A Haircut,” as well as choice covers of iconic blues-rock songs like “
Who Do You Love” (
Bo Diddley), “
Move It On Over” (
Hank Williams) and “

The Dirty Dozen, a scorching new blues-rock album pairing six new studio recordings with six classic fan favorites. The
Guitar Center Sessions event takes place the day after
Thorogood &
The Destroyers perform at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, after which they will travel to more than 30 U.S. Cities this summer on a tour that includes 22 co-headlining dates with
Jonny Lang.
