Named one of Alternative Press Magazine's 100 Bands To Watch, Horse the Band are preparing themselves for a late-summer release of their third full-length album, A Natural Death (Koch) on August 28. The band has also posted "Murder," a song from the new album, on MySpace page.
"We posted a series of ads and pictures featuring dead wolves who were killed in an 'un-natural' way (i.e. by humans and technology). This is meant to explore the irony of 'a natural death' and make people ask themselves, 'What is natural?' Nature being murdered by man is paralleled by man being murdered by nature, which is a theme of our album," says guitarist David Isen.
"
A Natural Death is about the futility and arrogance of creation and destruction, the overwhelming scale of space and time, and the brutal majesty of nature, the horror of birth and the beauty of death. Everyone who will ever live will die a natural death, and will soon after be forgotten for eternity. Hopefully this album will serve as a warning to the human race to stop taking itself so seriously, as we have seen the dire consequences of its actions in the future. You are nothing." proclaims keyboardist Erik Engstrom.
For A Natural Death, Horse the Band tapped seasoned producer Brian Virtue
(Jane's Addiction, Audioslave) to man the controls. The track list is as

01. "Hyperborea"
02. "Murder"

Horse The Band consists of five demigods running from a haunted past they can't possibly remember. Formed on the mean streets of Los Angeles after the birth of the new millennium, the members of Horse began to create their exotic sound to fight the past and create the future.
Horse the band consists of Nathan the tormented poet beast on vocals, David the hyper-intelligent lover on guitar, Erik the child-like wizard of keyboards, Chris the baby horse awaiting his gelding on drums, and Dash the gritty urban barbarian on bass.
Horse The Band's music has won them many accolades for energy and originality. Often referred to as 'nintendo-core' because of their spastic and glorious brutality, they prefer to strike out and create their own unique sounds each time they manifest their powers. One thing is for certain - You will love them or you will pretend not to, but in the end you can not deny their prowess.
