“He has created something akin to a seminal milestone. Finding the perfect mix of attitude and ambiance, Ralston crafts a sound that begs an instant connection rich, textured, atmospheric anthems imbued with brooding discontent. …instrumental overdubs and an agitated underbelly give Sorry Vampire a heady mystique as affecting and provocative as its title implies. Ralston never settles for self- absorption. Instead he opts for a grand statement that's both sumptuous and sublime.” - Miami New Times.

John Ralston has announced a seven-week tour supporting Limbeck, which kicks off on February 7th with two nights in Los Angeles, and will include multiple nights in New York, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. More dates will be announced shortly.
Ralston has also announced an exclusive, self-released album entitled Sea Garden Blues. Physical copies of the album can only be purchased on Ralston’s tour with Limbeck; however, Sea Garden Blues will be available on iTunes in the future. SGB was recorded during a two-week period in December, and was mixed by Grammy award-winner Charles Dye (Aerosmith, Ricky Martin, Lauren Hill).
Dye also mixed Ralston’s latest album, 'Sorry Vampire,' which hit streets nearly three months ago and left Alternative Press to claim "'Lessons I & II' haunts its way through slow waves of melancholia while 'Fragile' and 'The Only Evidence’ set up camp in your brain with no intentions of leaving anytime soon....Ralston's evolution from closet poet to full band majordomo (is) vividly and poignantly complete," and Magnet to state (Sorry Vampire is) lovingly arranged, lushly layered pop that leans toward Elliott Smith and John Vanderslice.
Ralston and Dye took the "loudness wars" into account when making Sorry Vampire, and co-founded Turn Me Up!, a non- profit organization that campaigns for giving artists back their choice to release more dynamic records. The organization has recently been mentioned in Rolling Stone and the Chicago Tribune.
