Who: Matchbook Romance, which includes singer/guitarist, Andrew Jordan, guitarist Judas DePaolo, Bassist Ryan Kienle, and drummer Aaron Stern, got their start in Poughkeepsie, NY in 1997. The band was once known as The Getaway owes a large part of their success to the internet - which was where Epitaph Records found them. After recording six tunes the band created a website and began a self-marketing grassroots campaign. Epitaph head and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz downloaded the band's track "Ex Marks The Spot," and immediately took interest in the band. The rest is history.
Matchbook Romance recently released their latest album Voices, in February 2006 featuring the single "You Can Run But We Will Find You," available for download at JustFortheFofit.com - for free.
