My Vitriol were discovered by legendary DJ Steve Lamacq and signed after only seven shows. The band shot to success with the release of their critically acclaimed debut album 'Finelines’ and three top forty singles ('Grounded’ , 'Always: Your Way’ and 'Moodswings’). A hugely successful album campaign saw My Vitriol tour solidly for three years bringing their unique sound all over the world (including Japan, America, Holland, Norway, Denmark, Spain and Germany).
Late last year My Vitriol returned to the live circuit with a largely unadvertised headline show at London’s KOKO. The 1,500 capacity show sold out quickly, firmly marking the band’s return.
Also returning to the festival circuit, this year they have announced that they will be playing 3rd before headline on the Dimebag Darrell Stage at Download Festival on June 9th, headline the
Rock Sound Cave at
Guilfest on July 13th and their own London Astoria show on September 29th. These shows add to their already rather impressive history of festival appearances that include main stage slots at
Reading/Leeds,
Glastonbury,
Summer Sonic,
Rock AM Ring,
Roskilde, V and T in The Park.
The band’s summer shows also bring news of new material in the shape of '
War of the Worlds' available for Download June 11th, taken from '
A Pyrrhic Victory' EP released on Xtra Mile Recordings on June 25th. The EP will be available as both a limited edition physical CD and digital bundles. The four-track '
