Red Hot Chili Peppers Take Their Heat To The Stage

Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed details of the first three North American legs of their World Tour in support of "Stadium Arcadium." These much anticipated shows will kick off Friday, August 11 in Portland, OR.

The band unveiled the tour information during a 90-minute radio broadcast, live from New York City, which previewed songs from "Stadium Arcadium," their much lauded two-CD set releasing Tuesday, May 9.

Concert tickets will go on sale Saturday, May 13 (except for Boise, which goes on sale May 12). However, fan club members can purchase tickets starting Sunday, May 7. Additionally, those pre-ordering the album via iTunes can purchase tickets on the album release day, May 9.

The opener for Red Hot Chili Peppers will be The Mars Volta.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans on October 28.

"Stadium Arcadium" is the ninth studio album from the Chili Peppers and the first since 2002's "By The Way," which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. All told, the band has sold more than 50 million albums, logged seven multiplatinum CDs and scored nine #1 Modern Rock hits, including the current single "Dani California."

I saw them open for SOAD as well, I think the main reason theyre on the bill is so John and Flea can play a song or 2 with them since they helped on the album... No Texas OR Wisconsin? The 2 places I could get to easily and theyre not on there...

tix where slightly over $60 when i saw them in 2003, so expect somewhere around that. it also depends on where you sit, like lawn is less than seats is less than pit, at least most places. but expect around $60-70, expensive, but worth it IMO

Whoever said that Mars Volta sucks is ungrateful- they're the best band ive ever seen and combined with Chili Peppers!!!John and Omar are the best guitarists in the world, but thats just my opinion and yours is yours. Its just a shame they arent playing in Australia where they're appreciated
