After spending most of 2007 crossing the country on tour, Southern California quintet Saosin has announced that they will begin 2008 on the road with new headline dates beginning January 21st at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, AZ through February 14th at the Senator Theatre in Chico, CA, with additional shows to be added.
Sire Records act Armor For Sleep will share the bill with The Bled and Meriwether opening on all dates.
"We love playing live for the fans and can’t wait to continue our headline tour with such great bands that we love," said frontman Cove Reber.
Saosin have had a busy schedule since the release of their self titled debut on Capitol Records which has sold over 300,000 copies. Before their first-ever Headline trek with Norma Jean, Envy on the Coast and The Dear and the Departed, Saosin joined The Used and 30 Seconds to Mars on the 2007 Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour and Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday on last summer’s massive Projekt Revolution tour.
Saosin has been active in assuring that their music has a positive impact on those who listen. They recently aligned with the non-profit organization Rainn (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network) to promote a message of hope to victims of abuse, as well as to spread the word that there are resources available for those in need. More information on Rainn can be found at Rainn.org.
Saosin also sent an uplifting message to military and their families for Veteran’s Day by dedicating their hit single "You’re Not Alone" along with a video created on fliptrack.com. The video has been viewed over 420,000 times in less than three weeks.
Saosin is comprised of:
