Saving Abel On Tour With Papa Roach, Hinder, Nickelback

Virgin Records rock quintet Saving Abel's winning streak continues as they gear up for one of this Summer's hottest rock tours. The band are set to hit the road with Papa Roach, Hinder and Nickelback beginning July 10.

Saving Abel's third single & video, "Drowning (Face Down)," has raced it's way into the Top 5 at Rock radio this week and the video recently debuted on MTV2 and Yahoo! Music (music.yahoo.com). The band's self-titled debut album was recently certified gold by the RIAA. The platinum single "Addicted" had an extraordinary run as 2008's most-played song at active rock radio, with 11 consecutive weeks at No. 2 in the format, and a No. 1 posting at mainstream rock radio and No. 7 at alternative. The song also had a powerful, months-long afterburn on mainstream Top 40 and Hot AC radio, hitting the top 10 in both formats.

The follow-up ballad, honoring our nation's troops, "18 Days," is a top 5 hit at active rock, top 10 at alternative radio. "Drowning (Face Down)" continues to rocket up the charts at both active rock radio, currently at #5 and alternative radio where it is in the top 25. Saving Abel is currently on the road playing some shows with Shinedown before returning to arenas with rock giants Nickelback. Saving Abel's 18 Days Tour Ep which features an acoustic version of "18 Days" and two b-sides is available now exclusively at iTunes.

i think that papa roach is the only good one on this list. they've changed alot since they started but are great all the same. i loved nickelback until they sold out, but hinder is really good live. i saw them open for motley crue and even though i do not like them, they put on a good show and kept me entertained.

Its funny how these bands not only sound the same.. but appeal to the same audience.
If I were in a famous band, i would tour with artists so diverse and so not alike, and expose myself to a greater audience.

me too, but unfortunately, thats not what these bands are about... modern rock is not about rocking at all, its all image and money

Only a few bands nowdays make music for the sake of making good music. It would be nice to see a Rock band with some integrity instead of looking to make a quick buck.

Although, the guys from Saving Abel are actually pretty nice. I met their bassist and drummer and talked with them for a bit after a show (I did NOT go to see them, thank you) and they were pretty cool. I even told them that I didn't care for their music and they just chuckled and said that people just have different tastes. If I would've said that to Chad Kroeger he would've tried to sucker punch me like the douche he is.
