Senses Fail will return to the studio on April 1st to begin work on their third full-length and follow up to 2006’s Still Searching. The band will once again be working with producer Brian McTernan - this time at his Salad Days studio in Baltimore, MD. The as-yet-untitled disc is tentatively scheduled for a September 2008 release.
“There is a real sense of urgency in the songs we’ve been writing,” says singer James “Buddy” Nielsen. “We’re just now starting to find the direction for this record and you’re definitely going to hear a more aggressive side of Senses Fail. The songs have a lot of grit and power and remind me of how I felt when we wrote From The Depths of Dreams. We are all very excited to get in the studio with Brian again and make the best music we’ve ever made.”
Nielsen, along with guitarists Garrett Zablocki and Heath Saraceno and drummer Dan Trapp, will be making their next live performance on Sunday, May 4th at The Bamboozle in East Rutherford, NJ.
The New Jersey-based group formed six years ago and released their debut EP, From the Depths of Dreams, in 2002. 2004’s Let It Enfold You was followed by Still Searching.
The band has performed multiple around-the-world tours and has sold over 850,000 copies of their catalog.
