The tireless and tour-hungry hardcore loyalists in LA’s Terror, spearheaded by the endless enthusiasm of frontman Scott Vogel, continues to be one with the underdogs and prove that they are never alone, as a rabid North American audience is currently chomping at the bit preparing for the group first headlining tour in almost two years. These metal veterans are determined to show that they have what it takes to play anywhere and everywhere as they plan on embarking on a massive seven-week trek. The tour kicks off on July 17th and also features The Warriors, Death Before Dishonor, CDC and Trapped Under Ice.
This tour is the first U.S. run in support of their critically acclaimed new album, The Damned, The Shamed, which is set for a June 10th release. This vicious slab of brutality was produced by
Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) and is sure to please the band’s diehard fanbase, while garnering a new legion of young maniacal supporters. For a sneak peak at the insanity that awaits, head over to www.myspace.com/terror now to stream the new track “
Let Me Sink” and to view their complete touring schedule.
Vogel comments: “After many overseas tours and U.S. supporting slots, we are very hyped to finally headline again with some bands we really love and with a brand-new record just hitting streets. We put together a package of bands that are somewhat diverse but still all coming from the same place as us for the same cause. The plan is to play a lot of old stuff but definitely some new ones as well. We love the new record and need to bust it out. In South America we were playing a 16-song set, and we’ll build on that for sure. This tour is all North America, and we can’t wait. Hope to see you all soon.”
Rest assured that The Damned, The Shamed is the definitive hardcore album of 2008. Their melding of no-frills, breakneck hardcore and the fervor of new generation metal makes for one hell of a pit no matter what city or stage the band leaves in ruin.
