Really? They can play with any band of any music genre? They were never pigeon-holed into a style throughout their hole career? I was pretty sure they were squarely situated in the 80's rock/Led Zeppelin wannabe genre.

You obviously know nothing about Tesla.

one of the best bands to come out of the 80s. Frank Hannon is awesome.

I know lots about Tesla. Seen them several times. I'm not saying they (you?) suck, just saying they're pretty easy to pigeon-hole.

I love Tesla. The new song is pretty cool. Of course, nothing matches Don't De-Rock Me.

Alot of people like/have liked Tesla. It's just that there aren't a whole hell of a lot of Tesla fanatics out there.

Actually, for those of you who are too young to know, Tesla was actually well respected in their day as a sort of "working man's hard rock band". They always had a no frills approach to their music. However, their downfall was that each record they put out wasn't quite as good as the one before. Their first album was truly worthy of being called a classic of its time(Mechanical Resonance). Their second release (The Great Radio Controversy) had its moments, but never quite delivered what it seemed to promise. A trend which continued throughout the rest of their career.

Don't be too hard on them. They never walked around with some kind of pompus attitude that so many other bands did. They seemed to always do the best they could and always tried to deliver for their fans.
