Sick soundtrack, horrible book IMO, probably horrible movie. I might buy the soundtrack just because it's that awesome. And yes, Paramore is awesome.

Eh, paramore is a pretty awesome band. Lots of potential seeing they're all fairly young.

This movie though...my gf is obsessed over the book and almost went to meet one of the actors in sf for $30. The soundtrack though is fairly good. Paramore is progressing and there's a track "the river flows with you" or something where the original piano piece is amazing

Because Paramore's music is guitar based? I mean really. Yes, metal and classic rock are great genres of music, but listening outside of it won't kill you.

Metal isn't the only genre of music out there, and it won't kill you to listen to others. Besides they can't just cater to you when plenty of people on this site listen to this type of music. If you want all metal all the time, then go to a metal site, no one is making you read anything you don't want to.

The fan base is getting really big (as in, my roommate is hiding in his room reading through the book as fast as HE possibly can...) and naturally, if you're into the vampire thing, chances are you're into some form of radio-friendly rock music. Anyone remember that show....Buffy the Vampire Slayer....same theme, but on a TV show with less over sappiness.

What's the track listing. Of the two I know thank god for muse and screw the morons who thought of putting Paramore. It's not like the people aren't talented, but I hate all the poppy crap that has become the status quo. I'm shocked they have a guitarist. About the moive, the book was incredible, I'm reading the 3rd one now, but this is going to be like the Eragon moive. Incredible for people who haven't read the book, ok for the critics, and torture to the people who have read to watch this abomination that doesn't even remotely relate to the actual story.

I love Detroit Rock City, if thats where you got your "blow dogs for quarters".

Honestly, I think twilight was a good book. Im not one of the nerds who wears "Team Edward" shirts though, and who carry it around in their bag 24/7.
#1 already? Thats ridiculous! In a bad way too. I think that almost anyone but a soundtrack deserves it. I saw posters for it at a craft store, its stupid how big this thing is getting. BS man.

Did you even read the book? I doubt it. If you did, you probably got 10 pages in and because no one was getting killed, you gave up. It's a great book.

Meyer, an avid reader,[29] cites many novels as inspiration for the Twilight series, including Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.[30] She also says that her writing is strongly influenced by music, and she posts "playlists" on her website of songs which specifically inspired her books. Bands included most often in her playlists are Muse, Blue October, My Chemical Romance, Coldplay, and Linkin Park.[31][32][33][34]

It's a Mary Sue book without anything that reminisces a "good book." You're serious? Pick up Dickens... Kerouac... something other than a teen-fiction vampire book.

I've never heard of this shit, how come people are carrying on as if it's the next Harry Potter? To Tugboat: Don't recommend Dickens. If they're into teen vampire books then they're not gonna understand a word of Dickens.

Personally I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so by the look of things there's no incentive for me to look this up.

I saw a girl wearing a shirt that said twilight. She's in this poetry class I'm in because she loves all things renaissance as she's annoyingly implied every time she answers a question. She wears long skirts and is particularly fond of corsets which show off a bunch of cleavage which would be great if she wasn't 230+ lbs. I'm guessing she dresses like this because she wants to somehow feel more connected to her whole renaissance fixation...before I ever knew that Twilight was a book, or a movie or that it had a soundtrack- she ruined it for me. On a side note I'm pleasantly surprised to find out the soundtrack isn't bad at all.

Not to mention that this movie looks incredibly lame...

I'm going to see it with my girlfriend.... it's going to rock. She'll be right in the mood and it will require fairly much zero effort from me

will the film be as promising?

If you are a teenage girl, maybe.
If you're a teenage boy who happens to have a teenage girlfriend, tickets to this movie would mean instant sex.

Instant sex? Ya if you want to get some from a 15 year old

^lool, Twihards is something they've called Twilight lovers for ages, but I think the movies going be shit, unless your a teenage girl who has no good movie expectations. sadly my brother is a movie enthusiast and theres no hope for me in liking the movie.
and cause I'm from Australia, I have to wait till next week.

they better not ruin Muse, and get teenage girl's thinking their #1 fans of Muse, because Stephenie Meyer or the actors are. they probably won't even know who Stephenie Meyer is at the end of this month.

There's the Paramore songs, Supermassive Black Hole by Muse and Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park. That's basically it.

Also, has anyone read the Darren Shan series? It's far superior.

Darren Shan is a VERY god series, although I would have changed one thing at the end.

I actually like the Twilight series >.> Read all the books as soon and as fast as I could. Unlucky for me I got into the series about a year before the final book came out, so I had to wait.
