Winds Of Plague have inked a worldwide deal with Century Media Records. Hailing from Los Angeles, Winds Of Plague have their share of Southern CA hardcore roots running in their backyard, though the atmospheric sounds of Scandinavian black metal and classic American metal reign supreme in the bands music.

In a scene overwhelmed with fake people and bands thinking they’re the second coming of Christ, Winds Of Plague strives to create something real,” comments singer, Johnny P.

Century Media has an excellent history of releasing some of the most groundbreaking metal albums in history,” says bassist, Captain Andrew Glover. ”We're glad to be part of this tradition.

The band released A Cold Day In Hell on Recorse Records in 2005 and spent most of the following summers and school breaks on the road touring with the likes of Too Pure To Die, A Love Ends Suicide, The Taste of Blood and many others. In the fall of 2006, Winds Of Plague were handpicked by Bleeding Through as direct support for their West Coast tour. It was there that Century Media owner Robert Kampf saw the band perform and offered them a deal.

We have been looking for a label that suits our thoughts and ideals and from the beginning Century Media has been nothing but genuine and has had the bands best interest as there priority,” comments Johnny.

Winds Of Plague will be playing this year’s California’s Metal Fest (see below) and will then begin work on their Century Media debut with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, A Love Ends Suicide).

You can expect the next album in late summer/early fall. With the addition of our new keyboard player, Matt Feinman, we have found an amazing niche that has gotten us into a groove where we're writing our best material to date,” says Glover. “Once we are done recording the new album, you will see us hit the road more than your little hearts could've desired. Not only the U.S., but all over the globe before the year’s over.
