Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Lisa Bianco To Its Artist Roster

Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Lisa Bianco To Its Artist Roster
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster Lisa Bianco, the evocative and inventive singer/songwriter, pulling alternative rock stylings of The Joy Formidable and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, combined with pop sensibilities of Blondie and The Bangles.

From New York City, Lisa’s strives to erase the distance between artist and audience during her electric live performances. "I play and tour because it provides a sense of purpose," says Lisa. "I often feel like a messenger. When I’m on stage, I feel so alive, and I work to convey that to everyone." Her fan base has been a strong and growing one, garnering the attention of New York publications, CMJ.com ("Distinctive NYC underground songstress"), the Village Voice ("Galvanizing") and The Aquarian ("Bianco combines down and dirty electrics with addictive, sugar sweet melodies and squeezes the proverbial rock ’n’ roll mainstream juice into her cup of bratty punk snarl. The results are a big, bold biological reaction of compositional passion and vision.").

Lisa’s years of hitting the club circuit include venues such as the Mercury Lounge, the Knitting Factory, City Winery, Rockwood Music Hall, Maxwell’s, and The Saint in New Jersey. She has recently performed an East Coast/Canadian tour, and has played at New York City’s Anti-Folk Festival on a bill with contemporaries such as Nicole Atkins and Regina Spektor. She has also played at the CMJ Music Marathon and the Light of Day Concerts in Asbury Park, sharing the stage with Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nile and Jesse Malin. Lisa is currently touring in support of her latest album, Momentum.

"I love Lisa’s style – she’s fierce, she’s loud, she’s melodic, she’s 90’s raw," said Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars. "When I heard the guitars kick in on LOW, I know she had me, especially at 3:42 – I know THAT feeling, somehow she musically expresses every emotion I ever had at 23."

BradTheBluefish :
I hear you man, but it is a stem off of Cortek. You know, the company that makes Fenders, Squires, Ibanez, ESP, etc. On its own it is sexist but when you realize it is part of a bigger family, not so.
