A free Trash Talk show on Wednesday (August 1) night in Los Angeles descended into chaos as fans of the punk band were pepper sprayed and allegedly tasered by riot police.
The show - which took place in the city's Downtown district - to launch a new skateboarding collection by Nike, saw a number of fans turned away at the gates after the venue reached capacity, reports Prefix.
The fans then allegedly rushed the gates, causing riot police to use pepper spray on the crowds, and, tweeted some fans, taser guns. Trash Talk's publicist says the band themselves had no contact with the police. [NME]
Boston mastermind Tom Scholz has never been known for his quick turnaround on new albums. Though a new album is in the works from the band, recently appointed lead singer Tommy DeCarlo has wisely suggested fans may not want to hold their breath while waiting for it.
DeCarlo took on lead vocal duties last year following the departure of Michael Sweet of Stryper, who had been fronting the band since the suicide of original singer Brad Delp in 2007. He promises the new album will be worth the weight. “When it gets done,” he said, “it’s fantastic. I’m with all the fans, I’m excited to hear it myself. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.” DeCarlo took on lead vocal duties last year following the departure of Michael Sweet of Stryper, who had been fronting the band since the suicide of original singer Brad Delp in 2007. Well we're living here in David's (Ellefson) town
And he's run our whole lives into the ground
When we woke up we were wasted and drunk
Shawn got shot: We got beaten by a monk
Even though that mvoie completely sucked, there was a certain amount of good jokes especially the song.
So the 5th paragraph is actually one shorter paragraph pasted twice for some reason, both times with 'wait' spelled as 'weight,' showing there is little to no chance that this was proof-read. People give their money for UG plus so you guys can make a living, and this is what you churn out? Come on, it would have taken 30 seconds to proof read.
Who the hell edits these articles? Anyone? Because there's always stupid grammatical and spelling errors and this has to be one of the worst I've ever seen:

Really, UG? Repeat the same sentence twice in a row and spell the word "WAIT" wrong both times. Obviously this is copy n pasta with sauce but that's all the more reason to look it over. It just takes away from the credibility of the article. If someone can't properly put together sentences, paragraphs, words, etc. what do you think are the odds they are reliable journalists/researchers? Pay me to proofread your shit or something because this is beyond ridiculous.
