3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold told Alternative Addiction in a recent interview that he and the band are planning on releasing a new album in 2010, and have already began pre-writing work on it.
"I’m writing right now and I am getting ready to go record another record to hopefully be back on tour by April or May," Arnold said during the interview from his home in Mississippi. "I’m looking forward to putting out some real rock songs this time and getting back out on the road."
Arnold said the members of the band have been sharing tracks that they have individually completed and collaborating online, something that
Arnold says will really help the band once they enter the studio in achieving their goal of getting the record finished sometime next year.
"I hope it will be out in 2010, and I really feel that we can do that," explained Arnold. "We’ve all been writing and sharing files electronically, and so when we get together I think we’re going to be ready to record right away, and evolve these songs into an album."
As previously reported, the band recently recorded a song for a Christmas EP that the band released digitally earlier this month. The title track "Where My Christmas Lives" has picked up rotation on many radio stations during the holiday season.
In addition to his work with 3 Doors Down, Brad Arnold has been helping out fellow band mate Todd Harrell with his new band 7DayBinge, playing as a guest drummer while the band was still looking for a permanent drummer.
"Those guys didn’t have a drummer so I filled in for a little while," said Arnold. "I’m really happy for those guys, I just heard their record the other day, and it sounds really good."
7DayBinge, who’s song "End Of The Road" is quickly climbing the AA Top 20, is set to release their self-titled debut album on January 26.
