AC/DC's Bon Scott's Life To Be Turned Into A Movie

The life of AC/DC's second singer Bon Scott, who died in 1980, is to become the subject of a new movie.

The project, which has yet-to-be-titled, is being overseen by film maker Eddie Martin.

According to Australia's Undercover, talks about film have been ongoing over recent months, although Martin said it was in its "early days".

"We are in the writing process. We’ve been meeting with Gaby, Mary, Irene [Scott's former wife] and The Valentines crew, people like Vince Lovegrove, Bon’s early friends," Martin added.

The role of Scott has yet to be decided, although Tom Budge is understood to be the favourite to play AC/DC's Angus Young.

Scott's life remains one of the few untold stories about AC/DC. He joined the band in 1974 after replacing original singer Dave Evans.

Martin said he would "love" filming to begin over the next "12-18 months".

Normally I don't like when people do movies on someone's life, because they miss many details or change the story around.

I don't think you're in the minority, bro. Most hardcore Acca Dacca fans seem to prefer the Bon Scott-era band. I'm a pretty hardcore fan, but I personally prefer Brian Johnson as a frontman. Bon was a better writer though. And this is just my personal opinion, at the end of the day they're both amazing.

Wow, hope this turns out to be good. Bon Scott-era ACDC was easily the greatest era, imo. And that Tom Budge guy does bare an uncanny resemblance to Angus Young.

NO MOVIE! Angus and Malcom should NOT have say in this, they sold out to Wal-Mart, they would be more than happy to make money off of Bon.

Let Bon Scott rest in peace. If you're making a movie, include only real footage. No one should try to be Bon Scott. Write a book instead!

I'm ok with it, SO LONG AS THEY DON'T BALLS IT UP! a book would probably be better though.

There was indeed a singer before Bon. His name is.....Dave Evans. AC/DC canned him in the early seventies and said "Oh hey look it's Bon Scott" lol.
