he does, but his band was better than just him, james iha was weird and good, and the chick bassist was great, he's a self serving dick that cant get enough of himself

That was a hilariuos way to describe him wallyyfm and it does seem true. I heard he went to some cafe and did a poetry reading but it was god awful. All these SP fans were there to hear him but all they got was crap.

Billy Corgan is awesome, I loved the pumpkins. Even if he cant sing, I really dug their guitar playing. Be interesting to see what the guitar is like without Iha and D'arcy on bass...

KSM :
You guys forget Billy wrote virtually all the music, including bass, and played lead guitar most of the time rather than James.

His lyrics are amazing. And he literally WAS the pumpkins as Test said. He wrote the music for all the instruments excluding just a few songs (Mayonaise and a few others that James helped out on). There was also rumors, taht are probably true? That he played most of the instruments on Siamese Dream.

Gish was actaualy the worst pumkins album. It's definitely the worst lyricaly and I think Machina is a tad better, al;though most think otherwise. Besides Gish has the weakest b-sides by far (not counting starla.) SD-Adore eras were amazing as hell.

Gish was an amazing album, as all smashing pumpkins albums do, but this isnt smashing pumpkins...this is billy corgan. HE has his own style and its amazing as was the pumpkins. He will forever rule

The Pumpkins rocked. Never really got into Zwan though, they didn't really get anywhere. Will give this a try though, sounds like it could be good.

NowTheWorld :
Hmm the song seems a little tired, methinks... Wayyyy too synthey (although thats to be expected) but he's using pretty much the same hooks as Machina I&II. I'm disappointed, and I'm a huge Pumpkins fan. Oh well, I'm sure the rest will be good.

Awesome, he's coming to Toronto. I may have missed seeing the Pumpkins live, but I'm certainly not passing this up!

You people are insane. Billy Corgan has (in my opinion) the best voice in rock. And he's an amazing lyrcisist. The pumpkins are amazing, and he's coming to St. Louis so I'm deffinitely going to go see him.

Billy has a great voice that fits his style. I couldn't see it any other way. I love the Smashing Pumpkins, but Billy's new song I did not like.

" The songs, Billys idea. The sound, Billys Idea. Me being Asian? *looks at billy, Billy gives James the evil eye* Billys idea" - James Iha..

lmao did anyone see that behind the music that sucks of Smashing Pumpkins, James was billys slave.. so funny. Billys a very talented man whos full of himself, If he could of played all the instruments at once live he would of and the Smashing Pumpkins would of been " the Billy" or something weird. but this album should be interesting

dub_1211 :
the Pumpkins were the tits back in the day, then billy boy got a little too drama-fag. talented none-the-less, but drama-faggy. james is good at what he does, jimmy is a smack-head, but he can swing the sticks.

Komusha :
Smashing Pumpkins wern't all Billy Corgan. James and Jimmy are very good musicians. And who says Billy can't sing. He has an awesome voice, its difrent but at least he's not trying to be like everyone else. I hope the solo CD will be good. Zwan wasn't but I have hope for this new one.
