Blur's recent reunion lunch was a success but the band still have no plans to return to the studio.
As previously reported on Orange, former bassist Alex James told how the band would be getting together for lunch October 1, prompting yet more speculation about a new Blur record, but it seems no firm plans were made.
Writing in his column from The Independent a non-plussed James wrote: "Rumours of another Blur record are greatly exaggerated. Lunch was nice. It was just lunch."
It seems Alex is more concerned about his foray into cheese making these days as he added: "There are no immediate plans to go into the studio, but they all liked my cheese."
The band's original line-up was destroyed in 2002 when guitarist Graham Coxon left the group.
