Cannibal Corpse To Re-Release 'Vile'

Cannibal Corpse will re-release their 1996 masterpiece "Vile" in March 2007. Entitled "Vile Live", the re-release will be part of a two-disc set which will include a bonus DVD containing live footage from the "Vile" era. The bulk of the concert material was filmed using three "old-school Hi8 cameras" on February 3, 1997 at San Francisco's Berkely Square, with four additional tracks shot the following night (February 4, 1997) using only two cameras.

i actually really like the guitars on some tracks... you listen to the first few seconds, you think, hey, this might be a good song...and then the damned singer opens his mouth... a lot like slayer except that cc does it on every song, while slayer only does it on a couple (i can already imagine the flaming i'm gonna get, but my mom once told me: opinions are like ass****..everybody has one)..in cc's case, i really don't know what puts me off... could be that the guttural moans are well, moans, or could be the fact that on most tracks you don't know what the crap the dude's saying...

Agreed CC is what got me into Death metal and will always support them no matter what also alot of peopl who say they suck are just scared of new genres of music that are better technicley then the bands they listen to so they say cc sucks so no one will listen to them to bad they failed..

wow who disses this band is ignorant as hell. im not a fan of the vocals, but those guys can play. as a bassist myself i give credit to the bass player in CC.

as for the lyrics, well that's the genere of the death metal, that's what it's suppose to be. i see it like tales just the dark ones, just relax and have fun with it once in a while. but musicianship is incredible.

Awesome! They're re-releasing lots of the back catalogue it seems.
As far as lyrics go, their importance is dependent on the genre. If I want good lyrics, I'll look elsewhere than death metal, if I want face melting agression, I listen to CC.

Ive got a few Cannibal Corpse CD's and they aren't bad but they are so much better live. they get the pit moving and Ive never seen a pit like when they played Make Them Suffer at sounds of the underground... and I went to see Unholy Alliance!

Arch Enemy and Cob are not even in the same genre as CC you retard.

Arch Enemy is Melodic Death Metal, Cob is progressive Melodic Black Metal with some Death Metal influence.

CC is straight out brutal DEATH METAL with some Gore metal thrown into the mix.
