: That is one hell of a track listing. Never really got into cannibal corpse but I respect them for coming up with hellish names for every song they have written for the last 20 years...lol
I actually am not really into death metal but i'm prolly gonna get this because it would be really funny to see a bunch of 40 somethings and 50 somethings playing death metal POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 12:47 pm / quote |

: I agree with Rock'n'Roller. Black metal is better. I used to be heavily into death metal but then I discovered the wonderful sounds of old Bathory and the Norwegian bands and suddenly death metal became very "safe". POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 02:14 pm / quote |
Warheart1188
: Cannibal Corpse has sucked over the past like, 9 years. They need to go back to their roots and put out albums that sound like Eaten, Tomb, or Butchered-The best 3 CC albums.POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 02:55 pm / quote |

"safe"? Obviously you haven't listened to much death metal if you're making that kind of judgment. Black Metal has become very soft lately. POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 02:56 pm / quote |

i've never purchased anything CC, but this looks like a must-have. maybe ill ask for it as a birthday present, i can imagine its a bit pricey (i've got other things i'm saving up for)POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 03:03 pm / quote |

: Umm yeah it's too safe when you have found bands who have burned churches and killed people. Tell me, what is more dangerous: a bunch of bands who have silly gore lyrics or bands who practiced what they preached and struck fear into an entire country? POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 04:17 pm / quote |
2Old2Cold
: Warheart1188, I have listened to tons of death metal. Some are damn good, while some need to just drop off the face of the earth because they are so damn bad. Tell me, how has black metal become soft lately? The real black metal bands will never soften their sound for commercial success. They will never play to the masses of hot topic poseur goths so they can make a buck. POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 04:22 pm / quote |

: 2Old2Cold: In a way, black metal kinda has gone a bit soft. Not to be degrading the genre, cause I love black metal, but I don't see any bands burning churches or killing gay dudes anymore. Ihsahn, the dudes in Darkthone, etc. have never done anything like that, yet the wrote some, if not, THE best black metal stuff out there. So you don't have to be extreme like that to be "hard".POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 07:26 pm / quote |

Who cares what genre is more dangerous, just listen to the music. You are close minded if you won't listen to a band just because they don't do the things they write in their music. "OMG, I CAN'T LISTEN TO CANNIBAL CORPSE JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T REALLY MUTILATE AND KILL PEOPLE! THEY ARE TOO SOFT."

: Sigh, not saying I won't listen to a band that doesn't do what they write about. Just commenting on the fact that I was criticized for saying death metal was safe after I heard black metal for the first time. POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 08:12 pm / quote |

Then explain instrumentals...
And besides, you all are stereotyping. Any CC fan will tell you that it is not impossible to understand the lyrics 100% of the time; to an un-trained ear maybe...POSTED: 05/13/2008 - 11:58 pm / quote |

yeah its true
some of the older stuff admittedly, its pretty hard to decipher Barnes, but Corpsegrinder is fairly understandable a lot of the timePOSTED: 05/14/2008 - 09:43 am / quote |

I supose you just get de-sensertised to band as u get more and more into harder metal. i think Cannibal Corpse lyris are pretty funny but i love the band POSTED: 05/14/2008 - 09:23 pm / quote |

: it might be interesting to get this... i've known about cannibal corpse for awhile now but never bothered to listen to them. but when my mate showed me tomb of the mutilated a few months ago it was one of the best metal albums i've heard since slipknot self-titled. anyway i just got kill last week and now cannibal corpse are definatly a personal favourite of mine. i just ordered my own copy of tomb aswell, i cum blood is sick!!! : I'll definately be getting this, it'll fit perfectly with their "15 Year Killing Spree" box set. And as far as being able to understand either Chris Barnes or Corpsegrinder, I have found that for the most part, they are both pretty understandable.POSTED: 06/12/2008 - 10:53 am / quote |
