most bands NEVER hit the big screen and this supergroup (which was formed earlier this year) gets it right up front. somethings wrong with this picture.

Tired, cliche'd "party rock". Yawn. Satriani should just accept the fact that he's not gonna make it in a band, he IS the band.

I like some supergroups. Them Crooked Vultures is awesome, and Audioslave was pretty good...

They should have it in IMAX so you can see the wrinkles all over Hagar's face. I hope its not as dumb as their music videos, but I don't think that is avoidable. Damn it Chickenfoot. You don't even nearly equal the sum of all of your parts.

FYI They don't say they ARE a supergroup, but everyone just calls them that. So the Expectations are like REALLY high, So some people might be dissepointed because the expected something super super super awesome. But when they hear the CD they forget to really listen and then say Chickenfoot is not a super group But I still think they rock :P

Completely agree.
Chickenfoot just isn't a good enough to really make something like this. They only have 12 songs, and not all of them are good.

Am I the only person who prefers Chickenfoot to TCV? TCV sounds dull and miserable to me, Chickenfoot at least had some life and fun in them.

Having said that, with the special edition album and now this, it does feel like they're rather milking the 'foot.

Regardless of how good they are or not, are they really popular enough to do this? I get U2 and Miley Cyrus doing stuff like this, simply because they have a shipload of fans, but I don't know anyone who's heard of chickenfoot, and an even smaller group is people who care.

a super group means that all of the members were already famous before they joined this group. it doesn't mean they're superfantasticly good.

The claymation movie "Chicken Foot", from the makers of Wallace & Gromit, will probably top this movie.

anyone else notice a possible metaphor with the name of the bonus track "Bitten By The Wolf" as maybe a reference to Van Halen's replacement of Michael Anthony with his song Wolfgang?

Audioslave wasn't a supergroup; they were a band that got a new singer, not an amalgamation of musicians known from other bands.

I keep hearing this from people: Not the idea that Chickenfoot is better, but the comparison of one supergroup to another, regardless of genre or musical style... Why lump them all together..?

All that being said: "Yes."

I hope the live performance invokes something more spectacular than the performance on the record, or I will probably have lost all faith that this is anything more than a B.S. cash grab.

I met them all backstage, really fun group of guys. Concert was spectacular. And quite frankly, they have earned the god damn right to do what they please. None of you guys would ever turn down this kind of thing anyway. And no. I don't think they're in it for the money, they all have prolly made a good enough of a living to retire. They're just doing what they love.

And Dave Matthews is also doing the same thing, just saying.

And the singer was Chris Cornell from Soundgarden. I dunno, I'd say they were a bit supergroupy.

I like them, but i wanna point out to people saying they arent popular enough. Most of their fans are old guys in their 40s, so they may not be popular among your teenage friends but they're popular among the people who have lots of disposable income. that's why they're doing this.

+1, I was happily surprised to see them open up for chickenfoot when I saw them. I saw Davey Knowles as a solo acoustic act when he opened for Jeff Beck. Now Back Door Slam needs to be their own major act and have other people open for them. They are very good.
