The Cure are to release a new download only compilation at the end of this month featuring re-recorded classics.
The band will release "4play" via iTunes in the UK only, the record will include new versions of "Three Imaginary Boys", "Seventeen Seconds", "Faith" and "Pornography", reports GIGWise.com.
The tracks were reworked in the summer of 2005 and were produced by
Mike Hedges. Also featuring on the record will be four new interviews with Robert Smith.
As previously reported, Cure vocalist Robert Smith had revealed that the band's planning a new album to be released April 2006.
Speaking at the annual Benicassim Festival in Spain he said: "We’re recording October, November and December and the new album will be released on my birthday [21st April]."
Smith added that he aimed to work with Suzie and The Banshees songwriter, and previous Cure producer, Steve Severin.
