Chicago heavy metal outfit, Dirge Within, will embark on the high profile, Shockwave Festival 2012, this summer in support of its sophomore release, "There Will Be Blood."
Established to give metal fans a lower cost festival option this season, the trek on Shockwave 2012 will commence on July 6th in Seattle, Wash., and features an assorted lineup of artists, including Fear Factory, Voivod, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Revocation, Havok and more.

Formed in 2007 by guitarist, Shaun Glass (ex-Soil), and vocalist, Jeremy"Jerms" Genske, Dirge Within cut its teeth in the competitive heavy music scene behind the release of its debut, "Force Fed Lies."
On April 10, 2012 "There Will Be Blood" was released, showcasing what fans of Dirge Within were already familiar with; powerful grooves, strong hooks and punishing guitar riffs, with an evolved songwriting and technical prowess far beyond its predecessor.
