Eagles Of Death Metal: New Album

Eagles Of Death Metal—the ridiculous rock 'n' roll duo featuring Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme on drums and longtime friend Jesse Hughes in the frontman slot—have announced their third full-length album, Heart On. Set to hit stores on October 28 via Downtown Recordings, it features such special guests and QOTSA mainstays as Kat Von Dee, Dave Catching, Alain Johannes, Troy Van Leeuwen and Homme's wife/former Distillers frontwoman Brody Dalle.

Expect a co-headlining tour with the Hives this fall. For now, a tracklisting:

Actually the name started out as the guy was trying to get Josh Homme into death metal, specifically Vader. Josh didn't like it, but called Vader the "Eagles of Death Metal".

There's also the story that the name came from a night at a bar where some drunk guy was trying to convince them that the band poison are like the eagles of death metal. So idk which story is true or not, I heard both.

It will be. They do a lot of AC/DC covers.

Hopefully it'll be better than the last album and more like the standard of the first.
