Eagles Of Death Metal Prepare Album

Eagles Of Death Metal have announced details of their upcoming second album. The band will release "Death By Sexy" on April 10 via Downtown Records, according to NME.com.

Preceding the LP, the first single to be taken from the record will be "I Want You So Hard (Boys Bad News)" and the group have just finished filming the video in Los Angeles.

The promo features guest appearances from Jack Black and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl alongside Eagles Of Death Metal members Jesse "The Devil" Hughes and Josh Homme. The video was directed by The Lonely Island, the comedy team responsible for the widely popular SNL skit Lazy Sunday.

Eagles Of Death Metal have posted a teaser video for "Death By Sexy" on their official website, it can be found at this location.

In other news, Eagles Of Death Metal have just revealed 2006 tour with The Strokes. The dates and tickets' purchasing info are available here.

I dig the Eagles of Death Metal. i think they have some really catchy songs. However, I only liked five of their songs off their debut CD.
The reason they call themselves the Eagles of Death Metal is because Jesse "the Devil" Hughes was talking about heavy metal music. He compared the 80's group Poision as the Eagles of Death Metal.
I find they are more garage rock but I hope their new cd will be more consistent then the last one. I love the guitar riffs and stuff but I thought the drumming was very basic (Kinda like Meg White of the White Stripes).
