Five Finger Death Punch Announce New Album Title

This past weekend, hard rockers Five Finger Death Punch officially announced that their forthcoming third studio album will be titled "American Capitalist". The album, produced by Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Hinder, In This Moment) will reportedly consist of 14 songs and is set for a Fall 2011 release.

"American Capitalist" was recorded amid the bright lights of Las Vegas, which 4 of 5 band members call home. Is trying to get work done in Sin City challenging? In an interview with the Pulse of Radio, guitarist Zoltan Bathory described the experience.

"Writing a record is not like a nine-to-five job", he said. "It's a 24/7 job, you know. Once you're done with the studio, you have to go home and we still, you know, keep writing. So that's how it gets distracting because, you know, you kind of - you worked already whole day, you want to relax, but in the second you want to relax for a second, Las Vegas will get you. You know, there's always something going on and you have to force yourself to not be distracted."

The album will be the first to feature new bassist Chris Kael, the replacement for Matt Snell, who parted ways with Five Finger Death Punch in late 2010 for reasons that remain unknown. Zoltan Bathory confirmed in April that Snell had departed from the band in December, but said that he was unable to discuss the issue further due to contractual obligations. It won't effect their sound anyway, Bathory says. "He wasn't a writing member, so it doesn't really affect how we sound like or how the songs are coming out, and especially [since] we were about to embark on the third record, it didn't matter really if the bass was gonna sound the same."

The first single from "American Capitalist" will be titled "Under And Over It" and will be debuted online on July 27th. Five Finger Death Punch's 2009 album "War Is The Answer" has been very successful in the US, selling over 530, 000 copies and spawning four high-charting radio singles.
