Flight Of The Conchords have announced plans for a movie.
Bret McKenzie has stated that efforts are being made to bring the comedy folk duo to the big screen, reports Total Film. Flight Of The Conchords ran for two seasons between 2007 and 2009.
He said:
"We're going to try and do a movie. We just need a story."
The star recently contributed several songs to the forthcoming soundtrack to
The Muppets movie including Oscar nominee "
Life's A Happy Song".
The soundtrack will also include a cover of Cee Lo Green's Number One hit "Forget You" and Nirvana's "Nevermind".
The film is set to come out in the UK on February 12, 2012.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, Lady Gaga, Jack Black and Ricky Gervais are set to make cameos in the forthcoming movie.
Meanwhile, McKenzie also revealed that he will feature as an elf in the forthcoming "The Hobbit" blockbuster.
Speaking about Peter Jackson's latest movie the Flight Of The Conchords star added: "It looks incredible. I've never seen anything so massive."
