GN'R Demo CD

According to Navarre.com and Amazon.com, Cleopatra Records has set a June 1 release date for "The Roots Of Guns N' Roses", a collection of the very first demos recorded by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin before they became Guns N' Roses.

The album features five demo recordings that haven’t been heard in decades, plus new remixes by former GN'R member Gilby Clarke. These rare tracks showcase the raw talent of Axl and Izzy that was just beginning to blossom into GN'R.

The story of Guns N' Roses began when L.A. Guns founder Tracii Guns introduced guitarist Chris Weber to Izzy Stradlin in the parking lot of the Rainbow Bar And Grill. After jamming together at Izzy's place, the two decided to form a band and recruited a vocalist, Bill Bailey, better known to most as Axl Rose. Together, they drew inspiration from the diverse musical scene emerging in Hollywood and, with the help of drummer Johnny Kreis, recorded a demo under the name Hollywood Rose.

For years these demos have remained in the vault, never appearing on CD. Now, Cleopatra Records is bringing these raw recordings to the masses. As a special bonus, Gilby Clarke took these recordings back to the studio and polished up the rough edges.

Ok....knowing most people, I probably will get flamed for this but oh well.....just wanted to ask ...How is it that almost everytime a board comes up that has to do with G n'R or Velvet Revolver, people immediately proclaim Slash to be a god everyone else sucks? Don't get me wrong......the guy is AMAZING and possibly one of the greatest "known" guitarists out there and i happen to like his work. But I'm also sure that everyone here knows that....which why I dont know why people still keep posting it or whining about it....we all know he's great, we know Axl is a dick THATS IT! ......oh btw....I personally think this might be a good thing. I for one like Gilby and Izzy but than again that's just my opinion....

slash is not god there are better guitarists (past and present) like ozzy's boys (tommi iommi, randy rhoads,zakk wylde) metallica's boys (hetfield and hammet) stevie ray vaughn, hendrix ....slash is alright and one of the top 50 but im TIRED of people saying hes god...clearly he's not. those are just my opinions. p.s. i was never into the gn'r scene maybe thats why id ont think slash in god

your officially a DUMBASSS.... chinese democracy isnt out, and from what ive heard, its ***ing amazing, take the song Madagascar for example, Second, this is GnR DEMO album, because they were big.
